Like the youngster roaming around the retail center with the shiny lemon hair and the nasal area ring, the 2013 Car Juke essentially shouts "Hey, look at me!" Whether thats a great thing is a matter of personal opinion. That said, theres no doubting the fact that this small cross-over is unique in a sea of opponents.

There also little discussion over the Jukes performance qualifications. Its turbocharged four-cylinder motor generates quick speeding, while the accurate guiding and sport-tuned revocation provide better managing than you might expect of a vehicle of this type. Gas usage is even reasonable, at least when motivated cautiously.

The Juke has several significant disadvantages, however, along with a couple that may well be deal-breakers for a lot of folks. First theres the, ahem, modern external design, which is one of those polarizing love-it-or-loathe-it designs. Inside, theres a crowded back burner and a favorably tiny freight box.

The 2013 Car Juke is provided in three trim levels: base S, a well-equipped SV and the top-of-the-line SL.

Standard equipment on the entry-level S model includes 17-inch metal tires, air-conditioning, fabric furniture, 60/40-split-folding back seat, keyless access, full power accessories, cruise management, a tilt-only leader, a trip computer, Wireless phone connection and a six-speaker sound program with a CD player and an reliable sound feedback port.

The mid-range SV contributes a sunroof, back comfort glass, keyless entry/ignition, automated heating and cooling, improved furniture, a leather-wrapped leader, satellite tv radio and the Incorporated Control (I-Con) program that allows you to select Normal, sport and Eco (Economy) configurations for accelerator, guiding and transmitting (with the CVT) reaction. The optionally available Routing program gets you a touchscreen display screen navigation program (based on an SD card) with a new rearview camera and real-time traffic info, plus an improved Rockford Fosgate speakers with a bass presenter and a USB/iPod interface.

The SL comes conventional with all of the above plus automated front lights, foglights, set furniture and warmed front part seat.

Other choices include a sport program (rear spoiler, stainless-steel fatigue store and unique wheels), a Firefox program (door manages, decorative mirrors and part molding), a Late night Version program (black-painted tires, spoiler and reflection covers) and an Internal Lighting program (accent lighting and lighted entrance sill plates).

Under the bonnet, the 2013 Car Juke gets a turbocharged 1.6-liter inline-4 motor that delivers 188 horse power and 177 pound-feet of twisting to the top part tires. A consistently varying automated gear box (CVT) is conventional on the S trim. The SV and SL offer a choice of a six-speed guide gear box or the CVT. All three cuts can also be had with all-wheel drive, in which case the CVT is the only transmitting provided.

The 2013 Car Juke comes with a lot of conventional precautionary functions such as antilock disk braking system, balance and grip management, active front part head constraints, front-seat part safety bags and part layer safety bags.

In government accident assessments, the Juke obtained four out of five celebrities for overall accident security, with three celebrities for frontal-impact security (four celebrities car owner, three celebrities front part passenger) and five celebrities for side-impact security. In examining by the Insurance Institution for Road Protection, the Juke obtained a "Good" ranking -- the highest possible -- in frontal-offset, side-impact and roof-strength accident assessments.

The 2013 Car Juke provides a traveler cottage thats nearly as ambitious-looking as its external. There are a lot of organic shapes and body-colored areas, and gold accessories add pleasant atmosphere. But theres no lack of hard areas, since this is intended to be a fantastic sort of environment. To its credit, the Jukes manages are large and easy to get around, and the cottage functions lots of careful areas.

The front part seat are relaxed, with significant part increases well suited to passionate generating. A leader that tilts but doesnt telescope may make it tougher for some motorists to get relaxed, though. A lack of headroom makes the back seat best for smaller kids and adults.

The Jukes freight box provides just 10 cubic legs behind the back seat and 36 cubic legs with those seatbacks collapsed down. To put these figures in viewpoint, the Lexus xBs freight capacity figures are 21 and 70 cubic legs respectively.

When it comes to performance, the 2013 Car Juke has several individualities. With the I-Con configurations on the Eco method, speeding is relaxing while energy economic program is optimized. In the sport method the generating experience is clearly more vibrant, though gas usage naturally experiences.

The rest of the Jukes components is unique on a twisting expand of two-lane road, where the perfectly heavy guiding feel and firm revocation work together to provide amazingly interesting managing. The quality of drive is acceptable over sleek sidewalk, though this utility seems a little stiff-legged compared to its family-oriented opponents. The cottage also fills up with a reasonable amount of wind and road disturbance, though most buyers should find it bearable enough.
