Introduction
The 2013 GMC Savana is well-suited for shifting huge categories of individuals in comparative convenience and convenience. With various wheelbases and devices stages, the Savana can carry eight, 12 or 15 travelers and it does so with a choice of four powertrains and optionally available all-wheel generate. The Savana can also tow nearly 10,000 weight, which is simply impressive for a traveler van. However, GMC has left its full-size traveler van almost unchanged for the last 18 years, and more recent competitors in this category have significant benefits over the Savana.
The almost similar Chevrolet Show and the Ford E-Series Chariot are the 2013 GMC Savanas main competitors. Variations are small, but the Common Engines automobiles have more motor choices, along with a powerful 6.6-liter diesel fuel V8 on the 3500 designs.
For customers looking for improved ability to move, improvement and gas mileage, though, the 2013 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is value a difficult look. Prices for the Runner are higher, but its high-roof choice allows for considerably more freight space and makes it much easier for travelers to get in and out. Moreover, the Sprinters conventional diesel fuel V6 is more fuel-efficient than any of the engine on the Savana. Wed also recommend taking a look at the new 2013 Nissan NV Passenger, as it also provides a high-roof choice and is more recent in style overall.
Although it needs an renovation to bring it into the modern era, the 2013 GMC Savana can still get the job done. Its not our top pick for a full-size van, but if cost concerns are producing your decision, its a relatively cost-effective choice for moving cathedral categories and huge family members.

Body Designs, and Options
The 2013 GMC Savana is a full-size traveler van thats provided in primary LS and well-equipped LT trim stages. Three fill scores are available: the 1500 and the heavy-duty 2500 and 3500. All three are provided in a standard-wheelbase (135 inches) settings that seat eight to 12 travelers. The extended-wheelbase (155 inches) style, which can seat up to 15 travelers, is available only in the 3500 sequence.

The LT style contributes firefox external trim, keyless access, back air-conditioning and warming, fabric furniture, full-length rug, vacation management, complete energy components, a journey computer, a tilt-only leader and face shield reflection decorative mirrors.
Many of the LTs conventional functions are also available as choices on the LS style. Other major choices include 17-inch metal tires, warmed decorative mirrors, back vehicle parking receptors, a moving part entrance, a hauling program, six-way energy front part seat, distant key, Wireless, a routing program and an improved audio program with a CD gamer, a USB/iPod interface and satellite tv stereo. Also available is a back-up photographic camera with a show installed either within the rearview reflection or on the routing body screen (if equipped).
Performance
The 2013 GMC Savana provides four powertrains. The 1500 sequence functions a 5.3-liter V8 with 310 horse power and 334 pound-feet of twisting, supported by a four-speed automated gearbox and conventional rear-wheel generate. All-wheel generate is optionally available. EPA-estimated gas mileage with either drivetrain is 13 mpg city/17 mpg road and 14 mpg mixed.
The rear-drive-only 2500 sequence gets a conventional 4.8-liter V8 with 280 hp and 295 lb-ft of twisting, or an optionally available 6.0-liter V8 producing 324 hp and 373 lb-ft of twisting. Both engine are mated to a six-speed automated gearbox. Energy economic program with the 4.8-liter is 11/17/13, while the 6.0-liter is 11/16/13.
The rear-wheel-drive-only 3500 sequence comes with the 6.0-liter V8 conventional. A 6.6-liter turbodiesel V8 that places out 260 hp and 525 lb-ft of twisting is optionally available. Both 3500 sequence engine come linked with a six-speed automated gearbox. Energy economic program is the same as the 2500 with the 6.0-liter. The turbodiesel V8 is the more effective motor of these two, but mpg reports are not available because the EPA doesnt rate automobiles that think about more than 6,000 weight. Effectively prepared, a Savana 3500 can tow up to 9,900 weight.

Safety
All 2013 GMC Savana traveler automobiles come fixed with antilock braking system, part layer safety bags and balance management as conventional devices. A rearview photographic camera, back vehicle parking receptors and OnStar urgent emails are available as choices.
The Interior Design and Special Features
The greatest issues for the 2013 GMC Savana are its unadorned internal and the restricted straight approval within the van. Theres industrial-grade nasty everywhere, and primary functions such as energy hair and rug are optionally available. As is common in conventional full-size automobiles, front-seat legroom is restricted, as the appearance of the motor in the vans short nasal area results in a very huge and invasive center system. Rear legroom is appropriate, but getting in and out of the back series of sitting isnt as simple or relaxed as in a Runner or NV with a high-roof choice.
Eight travelers can sit in the conventional 1500-series GMC Savana automobiles, while 12 individuals can fit in the conventional 2500 and 3500 designs. The long-wheelbase edition of the 3500 can be fixed with an extra seat, which gives it room for 15 individuals.

Driving Impressions
Although its engine are powerful, the 2013 GMC Savana doesnt quite fulfill the current conventional for traveler automobiles. Its certainly capable of shifting about huge categories of individuals, but its not as simple or relaxed to advance as the Runner and the NV, both of which drive, manage and guide better. The GMC Savana is still value considering if you want a diesel fuel V8 or need to keep costs down, but theres no blocking the truth that it seems obsolete, especially in populated city surroundings.
